Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi – Capital of Charm
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by our local team and transferred to your hotel located in the heart of the Old Quarter. Settle into your room and enjoy the rhythm of Hanoi — with tree-lined boulevards, colonial architecture, and street life buzzing with scooters, markets, and local vendors. In the evening, you may choose to wander around Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy your first Vietnamese dinner at a cozy restaurant recommended by our team.

Day 2: Discovering Hanoi’s Cultural Soul
Today you’ll dive into Hanoi’s unique blend of East and West. Visit the peaceful Temple of Literature — Vietnam’s first university — and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex to learn about the national leader. After lunch, explore the vibrant streets of the Old Quarter with its 36 guilds, try traditional egg coffee, and end the day with a water puppet show — an art form born from the Red River rice fields.

Day 3: Red River Delta Day Excursion
Leave the city for a peaceful countryside tour. Head to an ancient village near the Red River, where you’ll stroll through narrow alleys, visit century-old communal houses, and chat with artisans who still handcraft wood, paper or pottery. Have a cup of green tea with a local elder and hear stories of generations past. Return to Hanoi by late afternoon, enriched with insight into rural traditions.

Day 4: Cruise Through Halong Bay
Depart for Halong Bay and board your elegant overnight cruise. Sail past thousands of limestone islands jutting from jade-colored waters. Enjoy a seafood lunch onboard, kayak into hidden lagoons, and visit one of the stunning caves filled with stalactites. As the sun sets, sip a cocktail on the deck, join a cooking demonstration, or simply let the calm of the bay ease your spirit. Spend the night in your private cabin, lulled by the gentle waves.

Day 5: Halong Bay to Hue via Hanoi (Flight)
Wake up to the soft morning light reflecting off the bay. Practice Tai Chi on deck if you wish, then enjoy brunch as the boat returns to port. Drive back to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival in the former imperial capital, transfer to your riverside hotel and relax for the evening in a city that once ruled a dynasty.

Day 6: Imperial Splendor of Hue
Step back in time as you explore the grand Imperial Citadel, home of the Nguyen Emperors. Walk through regal gates, visit ancient temples, and imagine royal processions of centuries past. Cruise the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, perched on a hilltop overlooking the water. In the afternoon, explore one of the atmospheric royal tombs — a blend of architecture, landscape, and spiritual symbolism. Optional dinner in a garden restaurant with Hue’s refined cuisine.

Day 7: Hai Van Pass to Hoi An – The Coastal Journey
Leave Hue and drive south along one of the most scenic roads in Vietnam. Pause at Hai Van Pass — the “Ocean Cloud Pass” — with dramatic views of the sea and mountains. Visit the Marble Mountains before reaching Hoi An. Upon arrival, check into your boutique hotel and take an evening walk along the lantern-lit streets of the ancient town, now a UNESCO heritage site.

Day 8: Ancient Hoi An – Stories in Stone & Silk
Spend the day discovering the beauty and history of Hoi An. Visit the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, old merchant houses, colorful temples, and the bustling central market. Meet tailors, calligraphers, and lantern-makers who carry on family trades. In the afternoon, take part in a cooking class with a local chef or enjoy a boat ride on the Thu Bon River. Evening free to explore charming riverside cafés or try traditional herbal foot massages.

Day 9: Rural Life in Hoi An Countryside
Today, explore the quiet life beyond the town. Cycle through rice paddies to nearby Cam Thanh or Tra Que villages. Join farmers in planting herbs, learn how to fish with round nets, and enjoy a home-hosted lunch. This immersive day offers a gentle rhythm of life far from city noise. Return to town for a sunset by the riverside or an evening photography walk.

Day 10: Fly to Saigon – Southern Pulse
Catch a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam’s bustling southern hub. After check-in, take a guided afternoon walk past colonial landmarks like the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, and the Saigon Opera House. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a rooftop restaurant or take an optional cruise along the Saigon River.

Day 11: Cu Chi Tunnels & City Insight
Drive out to the Cu Chi Tunnels — a vast underground network used by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the war. Crawl through select sections, see hidden bunkers, and learn how people survived in wartime. Return to Saigon and visit the War Remnants Museum for deeper context, followed by a visit to Ben Thanh Market or a local coffee roastery.

Day 12: Life on the Mekong River
Spend the day in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s fertile “rice bowl.” Cruise on small boats through coconut canals and floating markets, walk through fruit orchards, and visit a local workshop producing coconut candy or rice paper. Stop for a home-cooked meal and enjoy traditional music in a riverside garden. Return to Saigon in the late afternoon.

Day 13: Free Day in Saigon
Your day is yours to enjoy: explore hidden cafés, visit art galleries or shopping districts, or take a half-day trip to the Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh. We’ll share optional activities or relaxing spots if you prefer to take it slow. Treat yourself to a farewell dinner in one of the city’s stylish rooftop bars or traditional eateries.

Day 14: Departure – A Journey Remembered
After breakfast, transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your flight home. Say goodbye to Vietnam — or as locals say, hẹn gặp lại — until we meet again.
