Itinerary Details

Day 1: Hanoi to Ninh Binh – The Ancient Capital
Depart from Hanoi in the morning and drive south through the countryside to Ninh Binh. Your first stop is Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s first capital in the 10th century. Explore the remnants of royal temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le kings, set against a backdrop of green limestone mountains. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat trip in Trang An or Tam Coc, drifting through caves and between towering cliffs. Check in at a riverside resort or charming homestay.

Day 2: Bai Dinh Pagoda & Rural Life Experience
After breakfast, visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest Buddhist complex in Vietnam, featuring a 13-storey tower, thousands of Buddha statues, and a panoramic view of the karst valley. Then, head into the countryside to explore a local village by bike or on foot. Visit a farmer’s home, learn about traditional life, or help in the garden if you wish. Return to your accommodation and enjoy the quiet of the countryside.

Day 3: Van Long Nature Reserve & Return to Hanoi
Start your final day with a peaceful boat ride in Van Long Wetlands, a lesser-known but stunning area that’s home to rare langurs, birds, and lotus ponds. The silence here is only broken by the splash of oars and birdsong. After the ride, enjoy some leisure time before driving back to Hanoi. The tour ends in the late afternoon with a heart full of gentle landscapes and timeless memories.
